The Swan Hotel offered a unique blend of charm and character for our family getaway. Nestled conveniently within walking distance of friends, our stay was filled with activities for both adults and children. The kids loved exploring the nearby waterways, and we even managed a delightful boating excursion together. While the room had its quirks—like two single beds that necessitated top-and-tailing and a rather hot room—it didn’t overshadow our fun. The breakfast was hearty, although the orders were mixed up a couple of times. The staff, though multitasking, were welcoming and accommodating, ensuring our family of nine felt at home. Just a heads-up: the village has a lot of stairs without a lift, so be prepared if you’re travelling with young ones or anyone who may struggle with mobility. A memorable holiday!
